You Did it!! 403 SOL with Ipod-Interface and 0.5 works

Asked by Weixlbaum Martin

You did a great job!!!
After one year of testing and reading I got your software work on an SE 403SOL with the software versions 4.39/2.06 (with ipod interface!!!!!)

I used the (internal) USB connector. This creates a vitual serial connector under Linux (/dev/ttyUSB0 on my machine). This way I can save the connectors (I allready built my cable) and the serial/usb connector. A standard USB-Cable works. I don't know, if the serail interface works.

On debian 6.0 i had to install python-pyrrd to get it work.

aptitude install python-pyrrd

So again, many many many thanks to Robert and all others!! Go on with your great work!

(I started the software 20 Min ago, an I cannot stop pressing F5)

Yes, it is labeld X9. It is on the internal print, where also the serial connector is connected. But I do not use it anymore, because I had the serial cable already working.

I send a picture via Email.

thx for the photo. the usb interface stuff is nice as its more likely that someone has a usb port than a serial. If you post a howto/blog article on how to make the connection via usb, I'm happy to link to it so others can use that information.

Can you help with this problem?
