Haguichi Startup Issue

Asked by Harv Lake

Hi, I have Ubuntu 12.10 with Hamachi and Haguichi installed. I set haguichi to run at startup. Everything seems to work, but it requests a root password.

The message I get is:
authentication is needed to run "/usr/sbin/service" as super user

How do I make this so it doesn't require this or has it pre-entered

Thanks

Hi Harv,

Have you tried this suggestion from the FAQ (http://www.haguichi.net/faq/#question-11):

How can I start or stop the Hamachi daemon without having to enter my password?
Add the line username ALL = NOPASSWD: /etc/init.d/logmein-hamachi to the end of the file /etc/sudoers where username is your actual username.

If that's not sufficient, then you also have to make sure sudo is used instead of Polkit, you can do this by running:
gconftool-2 --set "/apps/haguichi/commands/super_user" --type string "sudo"

Because your systems seems to have upstart you might have to use the path /usr/sbin/service in your sudoers file instead of /etc/init.d/logmein-hamachi.

Can you help with this problem?
