Enchancement: please add a "more" messages button

Asked by Rick Sewill

Gwibber seems to get only the last twenty messages.

I noticed, when I go to www.twitter.com and sign in, there is "more" button at the bottom of the messages so I can get previous messages, in groups of twenty. By repeatedly clicking the "more" button, I can scroll back to see previous messages I missed.

Could gwibber also have a "more" button so I can get previous messages, in groups of twenty?

In this way, I could scroll back to see messages I missed while I was away doing other things.

There's already an opened bug for a similar feature request. https://bugs.launchpad.net/gwibber/+bug/297233

My request is satisfied if one follows the suggestion to download tweets to a database.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/gwibber/+bug/297233

It's just frustrating having to use firefox to scroll back to see what tweets I missed
when I start looking at tweets in the morning.

It actually would be nice to have a database.

If one had a database, could I ask for a "number of days" option associated with
the database so any tweets older than a certain "number of days" were expunged from
the database. To be honest, I would probably set the "number of days" to keep
a tweet in a database to only one or two days. Any tweet older than a few days
is probably too old to be of interest.

In this way one wouldn't have to download all tweets to the database,
just the tweets newer than the "number of days" option -or- download the
tweets since the last time gwibber was stopped.
