Can't find ppa for karmic

after "add-apt-repository ppa:gwibber-team/ppa" which does fine, i cant install the actual version via ppa.

"apt-get update" says: "W: cant load http://ppa.launchpad.net/gwibber-team/ppa/ubuntu/dists/karmic/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz 404 Not Found"

whats wrong?

actual there is no "karmic" directory at http://ppa.launchpad.net/gwibber-team/ppa/ubuntu/dists/

is this a bug or can i find the karmic stable ppa elsewhere?

I dont want to install a daily build, just the latest stable release. Is there no such thing for karmic?

the latest stable release is gwibber 2.0 and that already is in karmic.

Maybe you should change the description at https://launchpad.net/~gwibber-team/+archive/ppa.

But now i have another problem as i tryed to install the daily build:

W: can't load https://launchpad.net/~gwibber-daily/+archive/ppa/dists/karmic/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz The requested URL returned error: 404

is there a problem with 64bit binarys? What to do about it?

I am having the same exact problem - it seems there is no binary for amd64 Ubuntu Karmic.

The error message is:

Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/gwibber-team/ppa/ubuntu/dists/karmic/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

This happens when the "gwibber-team" ppa is added (regardless of whether the "gwibber-daily" ppa is added as well, or not) to 64-bit version of Ubuntu Karmic.

If somebody know how to use the latest stable build in Karmic, please share, thanks!

Isn't 2.30.0 now the latest stable version? There doesn't seem to be any (official) repository which would offer it for Karmic. The daily repo seems to be a bit too unstable...

gwibber 2.30 is not yet released, when it does you should find it in the gwibber team ppa
