The rest of application works quite good, but I don't have the icon in the tray bar anymore :\
I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 - 32bit if this can help you.

I think it's because it's been moved to the indicator-applet. You can access it from there without filling up your notification area.

But maybe it works only with the indicator applet of Ubuntu Lucid. I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and I've no Gwibber in the indicator applet.

I beleive that its something that not yet implemented in the development release of gwibber and will sure make its way as gwibber 2.30 releases. Of cource people not using indicator applet are also gonna use gwibber (other Distros).

@Andrea: I have the same version of Gwibber in 9.10 and it appears in the indicator applet.

You can use Alltray to start Gwibber in the notification-area. Just install Alltray and run `alltray gwibber`. I prefer adding the -na (--no-alltray) parameter so it doesn't add "Alltray" to the title bar.

I have the indicator applet running, but if I close the gwibber 2.31.1.1 window, I get no updates. I only seem to get updates (twitter for example) if the gwibber window is open. How do I fix that? I want it to work like the old gwibber did. That is - some method to minimize to notification area and get a balloon notification of an update.

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic).

Can you help with this problem?
