Supported Distributions?

Asked by Marc Ferguson

Hi,

This may sound like a silly question, but is there support for any other Linux distribution besides Ubuntu? I did a search for "Fedora" and the only post that showed up was mine since Fedora 10. I'm trying to get the latest version of Gwibber working since my distro's repo has version 1.2.0-3. That's unacceptable (to me).

On the other hand, I'm totally new at understand how the file system works. I ran the "python setup.py install" and I was told that It only did a manual copy and paste to certain directories. I should have built an RPM so I could remove it properly. Like I really know how to even MAKE an RPM file.

This is my bug, which was labeled as "invalid". https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/520808

Its up to the distros to package it. You should ask a fedora developer to put it in the repository for you.

Can you help with this problem?
