Gufw

can any one help it not working

i cant get the software to run after i enter in my password nothing opens up can someone help

Are you in Ubuntu 17.10?
Try from the Terminal with this command:
gufw
And paste here the dump.

Then, you're affected by waylan migration :(

You can run Ubuntu with xorg or look into a temporal fix (see comment 3 for example).

Ubuntu 17.10 is using Waylan by default, and a "feature" of Wayland is
not allow to run any GUI (like Gufw, gparted, synaptic) as root.

Can you help with this problem?
