Wildcards in the 'advanced' version of the rules editing/adding window

Asked by ALinuxUser

It seems to me that:

(1) it is not made clear how to specify all ports or all ips in the fields on the 'advanced' tabs;
(2) it really should be made clear.

Nor can I use one of the simpler interfaces to do what I want. For, while they have clearer interfaces for the fields, they lack a field I need. So I do need to know how to use the 'advanced' window. Note that 'advanced' does not mean - should not mean - 'inscruitable'.

Hi,
For all ports or all ips: Leave like they are, empty.
I didn't understand you about the interfaces.
Best regards.

Thank you - that's what I guessed.

My main point about interfaces can be put thus: especially with a security program, one should not have to *guess* how things work!

Can you help with this problem?
