Please revise your gufw.org/new page: multiple infelicities

Asked by ALinuxUser

Problem (1): (a) the download buttons look like they will open the changelog. Moreover, (b) at least on my machine, one of them produced an error when clicked.

Problem (2): in the *actual* changelog, the items change colour when moused over, making them seem clickable - but they are not actually clickable.

For all of the above I tried two different browsers (though, admittedly, on Windows). *EDIT*: On Linux Mint, I can't get the 'Ubuntu 14.04' button to do anything useful, whereas the 'Ubuntu 12.04+' downloads a .deb. Further: aren't we up to Ubuntu 16? While I am at it: 'Take a look to the new improvements' is not English.

Still, I do appreciate Gufw and its having received an update.

EDITED to fix the typo in my title - for which typo, apologies.

The buttons are for an Ubuntu Installer. I don't care about Windows :)

The button is a standard 'apt' protocol. If you click on it, the Store
should open ;)

Hi costales

Do you not care about Mint, either? I would like to get the update . . (Still, see here also my query about Ubuntu 16, since my version of Mint is based on Ubuntu 16 Xenial.)

Also, what about the problems I labelled '1a' and '2'?

Finally, I do think you should fix the wording that I mentioned.

Thanks NJ for the feedback, I updated the buttons of the New page. Now it's showing only 1 button installer :)

If the button is not working for you, it's because of your system, that URL is a standard URL installer, it will launch the Store and it should work in Mint.

Best regards.

Well, thank you.

However: pressing the button yields a message that says that gufw is installed already. Also, and as I wrote before, I am afraid that, 'Take a look to the new improvements!' is bad English.

I very much want to install the new gufw - but as things are, I can't. Or at least I think I want to install it: what is the *version number* of the new gufw? I have version 16.04.1. I will try uninstalling gufw and then pressing the button.
