GUFW y VirtualBox

Hola amigos:
He instalado Gufw y ahora las máquinas virtuales que tengo con VirtualBox, no se conectan a Internet, en la configuración o ayuda de Gufw no encuentro nada sobre como configurar Gufw para poder dar conexión a esas maquinas virtuales y tampoco en la rede he encontrado nada... ¿alguna idea?
Con VirtualBox no utilizo NAT, utilizo la opción de IP directa (a través de la interfez "br0" y dando a cada máquina su propia IP fija de la subred del router "tap0, tap1, tap2 etc..". según este manual (http://danieljay20.wordpress.com/2007/12/26/configuracion-de-red-con-ips-estaticas-en-virtualbox/). Decir que con NAT tampoco funciona...
Alguna ayuda para configurar Gufw para VirtualBox y sus máquinas virtuales?
