No export feature in gufw 10.04?

Asked by sefs

I have a whole bunch of rules i want to update the IP address for. Usually i would export to a txt file do a search and replace and re-import. I now see that there is no import/export feature. What would have cause the removal of such a needed feature? It just does not make sense. Like a lot of other things happening lately. What's going on guys.

Hi sefs. I'm so sorry, but I preferred remove this option in the last versions.
Now it's a more secure option: in the File/Log you can export the rules for a script shell, but only if you were logging the Gufw rules.
Best regards.

Hey thanks for your response.

No I didn't have logging turned on, but I do see that UFW stores it's users rule in /etc/ufw/user.rules between a RULES and END RULES tag, and was able to make the changes directly to that file easily.
