PPA for Ubuntu 17.10

Asked by Alexander Jung

Hello

Im an big fan of grub-customizer and use them since years ... ;)
I did fresh install of Ubuntu 17.10 and sadly the ppa isn't availbe so far and would like to ask when its done.

I bet there are many already waiting for an PPA , so it would be lovely to get them running on Ubuntu 17.10

Oh… sure. Didn't notice the new ubuntu release.

I added this new version to my ppa.

With ubuntu 17.10 there's a new compatibility issue because of wayland (can't run graphical applications as root). To do a fast release, I just did a simple hotfix using the xserver compatibility layer. But for the future I'm looking for a better way. Because of this hotfix it is a new micro release (5.0.7). There's no change other than this compatibility thing (compared to 5.0.6).

Hello again.

Thanks for your quick response ;)
I had compiled in the meantime from the sources and used xorg as server anyway, so i don't ran in that sudo problem ...

Did an uninstall from my self compiled 5.0.6 ( wich run flawless under xorg ) and upgraded to the ppa who works like it should with xorg , will check out later wayland with xserver compatibility layer
