Is there a way to edit customizer to display Windows 10 in place of 7

Asked by JOHN

I have just installed Windows 10 on my C drive. GRUB still sees Windows 7. Is this fixable?

You can rename it using grub customizer.

The default name comes from the grub 2 scripts itself. So it should be the same behavior with grub customizer as without.

Or did you rename them to Windows 7 in the past? Then it's possible that it's still your custom name.

I did not name it, as far as I know. I am not aware that I could have a custom name.
I opened customizer, clicked edit, and changed the 7 to 10 but it did not stick.
Maybe I missed a step.

Edit is not the right choice for renaming. It is for changing the contents. To rename an entry you can either do a slow double click or right click -> rename.

Can you help with this problem?
