Duplicated entries with different names

Asked by jgratero

I have the following problem: On a dual boot PC (Lubuntu/Bodhi Linux), I have duplicated GRUB entries under different names on one of the installed distros (Bodhi Linux). Both partitions have Grub-Customizer installed, but while in one (Lubuntu) these appear as a truncated shortcut (as per Grub-Customizer) on the other (Bodhi-Linux) appear as duplicated entries, under different names. This, as a result of me renaming the original entries with Grub-Customizer, in Bodhi-Linux.

So my question here would be: In which partition should I delete the duplicated entries? Is it safe to delete these duplicated entries?

First, you should decide, which partition/system you want to use for grub. If you're just using Lubuntu, you wont have this problem. On the other hand: when you're using Bodhi Linux more often, you should use grub from this one. I think it should be save to remove the duplicates. To make sure, re-run grub customizer after applying the chages and check the listed entries.

Can you help with this problem?
