boot-up option to default to win8

Asked by Keith

Hi,
I would like to have boot-up be win8 VS ubuntu. Currently when I turn-on the pc I get a choice of 4 things listed in the top left corner of my screen: ubuntu the first and win8 the last. If I do nothing for 10 seconds then ubuntu boots. I can arrow down and select win8 but I would really like it to be the default. Yes turn on the pc and get some joe to return to win8. How can I make this happen?
Thanks,
Keith

I'm a little bit confused about the question because I thought this is a very simple task when using grub customizer. Isn't it?

There are 3 ways you can go to accomplish it:

a) move windows 8 to the top of the list
OR b) go to the general settings tab and select windows 8 as default
OR c) go to the general settings tab and select "previously booted entry" to preserve the selection. This means when booting Windows 8 it is preselected the next time you're booting (as long as you won't boot another operating system).

Hi,
Thanks for your answers, sorry I'm too new to this. Where is the place I can move win8 to the top of the list?
Where is this list?
Thanks,
Keith

The solutions are related to grub customizer which has to be installed first. See https://launchpad.net/~danielrichter2007/+archive/grub-customizer

I assumed it's installed on your system as this is the Q&A system of grub customizer.
