Add entry to GRUB using Grub Customizer

Asked by Andrew

How do I add an ISO image of Linux Mint so I can install it on /dev/sda8? My dev/sda8 is blank except for the ext4 file syestem. Instead of creating a LiveUSB, I just want to boot to the ISO so I can install it on partition sda8. Please leave a full, detailed guide on how to do this. Thanks!

* select the partition the iso image is placed on
* path to iso file is relative to the selected partition

Example: if you're using a separate /boot partition which is sda2 and your image is placed at /boot/grub/mint.iso then choose:

Partition: /dev/sda2
path to iso: /grub/mint.iso

Also I noticed that the image isn't booting completely while there's the kernel param "user-setup/encrypt-home=true". So remove this part.

Then the image should boot. There's the warning "no argument specified" but it boots well.

Can you help with this problem?
