I'm just using the default font chooser of gtk, so it should show the same fonts like gedit, for example. However Grub Customizer still uses gtk 2, so this could be the reason for differences. Please install the synaptic package manager (it's also using gtk 2) and go to:

settings -> preferences -> columns and fonts.

click "use custom application font" -> click the Button "Application font" to get the font chooser. Is your font included?

If so, I think the best way is to wait for Grub Customizer 4.0 which comes with gtk 3 support.

Can you help with this problem?
