This depends on your graphic hardware. Grub Customizer presents the full list of VBE modes using the command `hwinfo --framebuffer`. The VBE modes are sometimes not as much as the graphic modes available when using a graphic driver.

However Grub Customizer doesn't restrict you. Just type the resolution you want to use into the box, save it and reboot your system to find out whether grub accepts your new resolution or not.

When insert the command on terminal see this:

> hal.1: read hal dataprocess 4721: arguments to dbus_move_error() were incorrect, assertion "(dest) == NULL || !dbus_error_is_set ((dest))" failed in file ../../dbus/dbus-errors.c line 282.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.
libhal.c 3483 : Error unsubscribing to signals, error=The name org.freedesktop.Hal was not provided by any .service files
