How to "install" a revision?

Asked by Ross

Hi everybody,

I posted a bug report which has been immediately fixed by Michael (great job!) and received a message that said "Fixed with rev. 1658".
I'm new to the forum and, as you can read from the title of my question, I'm not a computer genius so my question is: what I have to do now to fix my software? Is there a file that I have to download and replace? How does it work?
Usually after the revision number I read something like "replace your .py file with this updated one and it'll work".... but not this time!
I searched the whole website before asking for help... it can look like a silly question, I know, but I couldn't find a solution!

Thanks for your help!

Ross

I try to explain it with my comment from the bug report.

Download the following file:
http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/griffith/trunk/lib/plugins/movie/PluginMovieIMDB.py
Right click -> Save as

Look for the file PluginMovieIMDB.py within your local installation
(f.e. on Windows C:\Program Files\Griffith\lib\plugins\movie\PluginMovieIMDB.py)
Replace the local file with the downloaded one.
Restart griffith.

If it doesn't work but everything is done right than look for a file
PluginMovieIMDB.pyo
Remove it, restart griffith.

Can you help with this problem?
