If you really had to reinstall windows I think you removed all files from your harddisk. You won't find anything usefull anymore.
Before reinstalling windows you should have made a backup of your database.
Without it you only have a chance if you look for files called "griffith.db" which is the database of griffith.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I found a file called Griffith.db but it appears to be empty when I open it with the newly installed Griffith.

I have Carbonite as a backup, so will look through that for this file.

I am not at home now, so will try tonight when I get off work and let you know.

Thanks again for your reply.

OK, during lunch hour I found on my Carbonite backup a 'roaming' folder
called Griffith, in it there are 2 files and one folder. The Folder is
called 'Poster' and contains quite a few movie posters, the other 2
files are griffith.db and griffith.cfg. Is this what I'm looking for?
Should I move them somewhere else in order for Griffith to pick them up?
Thanks for any info you can give.

Yes, that are the files you should looking for.
Copy the file griffith.db from your Carbonite backup to the folder where you found the empty griffith.db.
The first start can take a little while because the contents of the folder "posters" is rebuild from the database.
Be careful with your backup data.

Thanks. That fixed it; Carbonite saved 12 versions, so had to retrieve a couple versions back, but copied both the .db and the .cfg files into where the empty file was, ran the program and it picked up the data base. Thanks for all your help.
