sort order

Asked by Steven Stoner

I now have 2152 films loaded, using built in Database, and the films are not listing in alphabetical order anymore. Got any ideas. Also, is it possible to migrate this database to a MySQL or SQLServer database? Thanks.

There are two ways to set a sort order. First you can define a default sorting within the preferences dialog at the first tab (Main List -> Sort by).
Second you can click at the caption of a column in the main list to set another sorting order.
Does anything of that work?

Yes, you can migrate. Since version 0.12 (or 0.11, I'm not absolutely sure) you can use the following steps.
* make a backup of your database (File -> Create backup)
* create a new database (MySQL or MS SQL), you can find the sql commands in the README file
* change the database selection within griffith (Tools -> Preferences -> Database)
* restore the backup (File -> Restore from backup)

Can you help with this problem?
