Calculate gap between two metrics

Hi,

I have two different metrics that should have similar values.
I want to create another metric that calculates the gap between these 2 metrics, so I can have alerts if the gap is too big.

Is this possible to create such a metric? And if so, how??
I googled it and didn't find an answer...
