require login to view graphs

Asked by shamer

I have graphite running on a publicly accessible server. I would like to force users to login before they are able to view graphs. After looking through the settings files I don't see any flags to do this. Is it possible to do this or do I need to setup some other form of authentication?

Thanks,
Stephen

Graphite does not currently support this, though it would not be hard to implement. A major downside of this is that it limits your ability to embed graphite images in other pages (a common and very convenient practice). As a quick alternative perhaps you could put an htacess file in place to restrict access to certain IPs or users (though htaccess authentication would be completely separate from graphite authentication).

Can you help with this problem?
