Graphite installation not working with whisper

We have Red Hat Linux running on a test server where we need to have Graphite installed.
We have already configured whisper and carbon and are able to push data into whisper using the below syntax:

echo "test.test.test 20 20150202" | nc localhost 2003

We can see the .wsp files being created in the /opt/graphite/storage/whisper/test/test directory.

Also, graphite web site is also running on port 8080. But for some reason we cannot see the metrics uploaded to whisper.

How do we point Graphite to pull data from Whisper files.?????

please assist.
