Values of logarithmic y-axis on the wrong position

Asked by styk777

Hi,

I have a problem using logscale on the y-axis. The values on the axis are not on the same position as the corresponding gridlines, which makes it impossible to guess which lines belongs to a specific value.

I append a small picture of some example data, on top with linear axis, on the bottom the same data with logarithmic y-axis (base 10).

The numbers on the y-axis are drawn between the gridlines, not next to them... is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Yes, it appears that the values on the y-axis do not align properly with their grid lines. As a temporary "workaround" you might want to set the "Minor Lines" value (minorY) to 10. This will help you to better visualize each log step, even with the y-axis values disabled.

I've opened issue https://github.com/graphite-project/graphite-web/issues/934 to track this bug.

Can you help with this problem?
