Future trend line

Asked by Littlebrown

Hi,

I'm a front end developer and I'm plotting several different kind of charts using graphite.
I had a request, that is to show a trend line, possibly for the next few days, based on the actual week I'm showing.

I saw Holt winter forecast function but seems to be referred to the data so far, not for a future forecast.

Do you have any kind of advices?

thanks

Paolo

Graphite will not do any sort of future rendering. Your best bet is to use the API to get at the raw data (e.g. format={raw, csv, json}) and render the graphs yourself with an alternate graphing toolkit. Perhaps R.

Hi Paolo:

Were you able to modify the holtwinters forecast function? I am using Grafana on top of graphite wo that I can see the future dates.

Would you mind sharing what you've done with the modified code?

Can you help with this problem?
