Graphing delta on data graphs

We have data where we would like to graph the change between the current data point and the previous data point. obviously, we can do this before feeding the data to Graphite, but can Graphite take the current value, subtract the previous value and graph that automatically?
Time, value x
time, value y
graph time, value y-x
