timestamps smaller than a second

Asked by Bevo

Id like to graph data that is in the sub second range (nano second)

From what i can see the smallest timestamp is to the second.

If i supply $epoch.$nanosecond
the graph just ends up with the last value for that second

Is this possible to do? or on the road map?

I dont particularly care about the large amount of data for retention period, alot of the measurements im trying to do are in the sub second range

For Whisper, you can currently only have second resolution. What you could possibly do is to aggregate the events yourself to second resolution, and then put it in Graphite.

I've read there is another storage engine on it's way called "Ceres" (see http://graphite.wikidot.com/roadmap). Whether that solves your problem or not I cannot answer.

I think this project would solve your issue: https://github.com/etsy/statsd It's a middle layer between you and Graphite.
