Drawing graphs over fixed 24 hours range

Asked by Greg

Hi,

I'd like to represent metrics over fixed 24 hour base starting from 00:00 till 23:59:59. The plan is to have metrics from today, yesterday and seven days ago on the same graph. This means that in the middle of the graph will be on zero from current time till midnight, but this is fine.

Does anybody know how/if this can be done?

Kind Regards,
Greg

You can graph the metric you're interested alongside the same metric with the timeShift function applied (with "1d" and "7d" in your example case). You can then select a date range (which requires changing it every day) or a relative date.

The graph will be from midnight until the current time. I'm unsure if there's a way to graph the 24hr period with the start and end of the graph fixed - Graphite likes to draw only until the current time, I cant find a way to make it draw in the future.

Can you help with this problem?
