Trying to reinstall windows xp

Asked by tigerb8

I have accidentally installed ubuntu over my windows xp and I do not nor have I ever had a cd/dvd for xp. I do however have a file backed up of it with my product key and when I try to run the install I keep getting the same error message (No valid system partitions were found) I have allocated 160 gigs to a NTFS partition. I would like some help trying to get this resolved as quick as possible, Thanks.

Could you boot on Ubuntu CD, with option "Try but not install". Open a terminal (Application->Accessories->Terminal) and type command:
    sudo parted -l
where "-l" is a lowercase "-L", and post result. After I should be able to advise you.

Can you help with this problem?
