Import Linux DB to Windows?

Asked by Mårten Woxberg

I used to run Gourmet on my Linux-machine but it has since died and I have only a backup of the .gourmet folder.

How do I get the database into the Windows version?

Short answer: figure out where the recipes.db file is and replace it with
the one from your linux machine. Easiest way is to probably search Windows
for that file.

The reason it's complicated is that Gourmet tries really hard to respect
Windows norms/environment variables about where programs are supposed to
store their data files, which has changed from version to version of
Windows.
