Import Living Cookbook recipes

Asked by Eileen

I'd love to be able to import my Living Cookbook recipes. Is this a feature that might be available in future.

Thanks,

Eileen

I know nothing about "Living Cookbook." Could you provide some information
about what kind of format Living Cookbook keeps recipes in (or exports them
to)? If you could attach a file, that would let us know how feasible import
might be. If it exports something simple in XML or text, writing an
importer would be a pretty trivial task.

I just checked the program's web site (www.livingcookbook.com) and under
Features, it says this:

* Share recipes with others, even if they don't own Living Cookbook. You
can export or e-mail recipes in all of the major recipe file formats.
* Import recipes from MasterCook, Big Oven, Cook'n, Meal-Master and
other recipe management programs.

It looks like there is not much that would need to be done except to
export the recipes from Living Cookbook into a format that Gourmet can
already use.

This is for Eileen:

Look at the Gourmet Recipe Manager web page at
http://thinkle.github.io/gourmet/ under the Import and Export tab. It
will tell you which formats you can use to export your recipes so that
Gourmet can import them. Meal-Master and MasterCook formats look to be
common to both programs for import/export.

Respectfully,
