the white part of menu theme have16 blue panels

(Menu GnoMenu 1.6 )
When I open a sub menu like e mail it won`t go back to the main menu.
The start search panel do not work at all .

I don`t know if all of the above is indeed a bug or if it is
some sort of dependency problem.
