gnome panel covers bottom of gnomenu when set to autohide

Asked by dan evans

Is there a way to force Gnomenu to appear a little higher so it clears the top of Gnome panel before it goes back to the auto-hide position ? The reason I ask is seems like to me, gnome panel doesn't always auto-hide for me all the time. When it doesn't, I have to move the mouse around so the panel goes away before I can click the lower part of the menu. Thanks

The only way I know of is to redo the theme you wish to use and remake it with enough transparency on the bottom to lift it above the panel. Unfortunately you will have to redo the theme.xml file as well to fix the y coordinates of the theme elements.

Can you help with this problem?
