GnoMenu - consolidated menu for gnome

automatically focus on results from search

Asked by bobsta on 2010-07-23

Using the default search functionality, after having entered your search criteria, the focus is still on the input text box.
Is it an easy/possible change to be able to type and first search result selected so if you were to push 'enter' it would run the first search result?

e.g. type in "term" and out of the two found results "Terminal" and "Terminal Server Client" the first "Terminal" would be executed if I hit enter at that point.

We have a blueprint to incorporate this feature. However, development is currently stalled due to Helder needing a new laptop and the feature won't happen until some point in the 3.0 development phase.

Can you help with this problem?
