Can I Re-organize my Favorites?

Asked by Cloaky8x

I'm not sure if it's menu specific, I'm using the Lancelot theme for GnoMenu 2.5 on Ubuntu 9.10 x64.

Is it possible to organize my favorites in an order other than alphabetically?

Also, Is it possible to organize the tabs "Recent Items, Computer, Applications Favorites"

to

"Favorites, Applications, Computer" and x-out Recent Items ?

(PS: I wonder if Ubuntu would use GnoMenu by default, or include it in their repos in the future?)

Arranging Favorites in the list: Short answer no. It's more to do with how Gnome Main Menu arranges things than GnoMenu. To re-arrange the Menu Order for Favorites, Applications etc., requires modification of the menu theme's XML code. Its fairly easy to do if you wish to take the time to learn basic XML.

Do you have the location of the XML file please?

I'm pretty familiar with XML - I develop tons of websites professionally.

Thank You,
