Most of the Icons displayed in GnoMenu are the blank icon, which are used when the system can't get the actual Icon called for.

To fix this:

Change System Icon Theme >> restart

Change back to originally selected System Icon Theme >> restart

To change the System Icon Theme:

Open the Appearance Control in the Gnome Control Center, and click the "Customize" Button. Click the "Icons" tab and select the desired System Icon theme. Click on "Close" and "Close" again.
