how to add dictionaries for gnome-dictionary?

Asked by David Prieto

how to add dictionaries for gnome-dictionary?

I see you have to add a hostname and a port number, but how to get them? And can you add any dictionary service available on the web? Wordrefrence, for example?

A clear and easy way to do so is lacking.

Thanks!

Try looking in http://luetzschena-stahmeln.de/dictd/index.php

I agree with you. The interface for adding a dict server is lacking, it doesnt have a way to edit an entry, so if you mistyped something, you have to delete it, and write everything again.

the next stable release (2.18) will allow editing; there's a bug to watch upstream:

Can you help with this problem?
