start menu

Asked by deibhaid

Under the Panel section, the Start Menu color modification is stated as being not yet possible with GNOME. Is there any method to configure the background and foreground colors manually?

Hi, deibhaid!

Not with gnome-color-chooser 0.2.3/0.2.4 and not with Ubuntu Hardy. This option is possible with GNOME 2.24 at last and will also be contained in the next gnome-color-chooser release (hopefully my debian has 2.24 soon *g*).

If you're already running GNOME 2.24 (or at least its panel), you can match the main menu in your GTKRC-File with this line:
widget "GtkWindow.gnome-panel-main-menu*" style "my-style"
where "my-style" refers to your style block as usual.

Good luck,
JackTheDipper ;-)

This can now be done with GNOME Color Chooser 0.2.5 and GNOME 2.24+!
