Widgets failing on Windows (0.20.0)

Asked by Damian Posener

The various UI widgets (play/pause/stop etc. buttons, progress slider, radio buttons) have all gone very square, ugly and 16-bit-like after upgrading to 0.20.0 (from 0.19.1) on Windows.

I'm rather hoping it's not intentional. Is there any way of sorting this other than downgrading back to 0.19?

It is a theme thing, no idea if changed, never use it.
I'll notify the packager.

As the packager, I confirm this bug but didn't notice it during packaging :D. I'm looking into it.

OK, the problem is actually in a buggy gtk bundle. Until I get a fix out, I suggest copying

gmpc-0.19.0\lib\gtk-2.0\2.10.0\engines\libwimp.dll to the gmpc-0.20.0\lib\gtk-2.0\2.10.0\engines\ directory.

That's sorted it for now. Let me know if you get a proper fix. :)

FYI: What I said above is actually, probably, a broken concept. gmpc was using the latest gtk, I'm going to have to back up to 2.16 due to bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=598299
