HTTPS over the wire and Yahoo mail support ?

Asked by Dan

Hello,

First of all thank you for making Gmail Watcher available to the world :-) I had a couple of quick questions:

1 - Reading previous Q&As threads, I see you're storing account passwords in a secure way by default now, which is great. But when Gmail Watcher actually connects to gmail to first authenticate and then fetch data, is it doing so over a secure connection like HTTPS ?

2 - Would you consider adding support for other email providers like Yahoo ? It would be nice to have one 'universal' email notifier ...

1: Yes, I'm using https connection.

2: As of now, I've no plans of supporting other mail services BUT I have plans to use IMAP instead of gmail atom feeds. Just might do it if the demand is high.

Can you help with this problem?
