In Oneiric, GmailWatcher uses IMAP to communicate with Gmail.
Please make sure
1) IMAP is enabled in gmail settings.
2) "[Gmail]/All Mail" folder is visible in IMAP under labels setting in gmail.
Both of these settings are must for GmailWacher to function.
