Only notify me about messages Gmail thinks are 'important'

Hi,
I there a way of setting up this program such that I get a notification bubble only if I get a message Gmail automatically labels as "Important".
I understand GMail already marks all important emails with the label "important''. I tried to filter by label in gm-notify, and I don't think it worked. I'm on a new computer now, so I forget the issue I had, but it may be linked to Bug #571230.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank-you.
