Openoffice-core dependency

Asked by juanrdz

Hi, I just found out about gloobus-preview and its friends. I was about to install it until a huge 172 Megs of dependencies needed to be downloaded, a quick inspection showed that Gloobus was asking for openoffice-core and some other openoffice related packages which take a considerable amount of hard drive space.

Is there any way to not install openoffice and have Gloobus preview working? (I'm wondering about manually editing cofniguration file but I guess that would break lots of stuff inside the source code)

If there is I'll sure install Gloobus immediately :)

you dont need openoffice for gloobus-preview to work, but it may crash when trying to open some office files, it depends on what version of gloobus-preview you are installing

Can you help with this problem?
