Create a copy of a running instance.

I have openstack nova (diablo) installed entirely from Ubuntu 11.10 packages. I also have number of running instances. I need to make a replica of one of the instances (Ubuntu 11.10 again running Drupal and a custom web app). We want to leave the current one as a running web site, and set up a copy for developers. What is the best way to do this?
