My record is something like 600K nodes and 3M edges.

On a 64-but JVM of course, with 8GB RAM.

Do you experience performance issues? What size is your network ?

I have not yet used Gephi, I am trying to figure out whether it is the right tool for me.

My network has some 0.5bn nodes and 15bn connections, so it looks like this is not going to work. Are there any other tools you can recommend?

Thanks for the response

I don"t know such a software...perhaps by deploying a specific one on a cluster of machines. You'll probable divide the number of connections by 50% just by cutting the leaves, nodes having only one connection. In scientific citation networks, the methodology is to prune the network with a threshold of ten.
