"Error decoding volume key,password incorrect"

hello,
i've created a stash yesterday on one of my local drives. encrypted it with my everyday use password, but as of this morning unfortunately i was not able to mount/decrypt it. keep getting the not so lovely "Error decoding volume key, password incorrect" message. my encfs6.xml file is not changed, it's the exact same file. i'm not sure what's going on.
