Support for ENCFS6_CONFIG

Asked by direk

Is there a manual way to include ENCFS6_CONFIG=/path-to/.encfs6.xml per encfs stash ?
Respectively --extpass or --stdinpass option, as discussed here
<http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.fuse.encfs.user/57>.

I'd recommend to place a symbolic link to the encfs config file in the stash. Could you please specify, what exactly you want to accomplish?

You can manually alter the encfs6 config file in GEncfsM 1.5.7:

extpass and stdinpass are not supported for now.

If you are still interested in --extpass and --stdinpass, GEncfsm 1.6 allows the usage of custom commands / encfs executables. It *should* be possible to write encfs wrapper scripts, if you want to do really special configurations:

Hi LibertyZero,
in my specific case, defining the encfs6 config file as supported from
v1.5.7 on, actually did the job.
But with the extra flexibility added to v1.6 you invented the Swiss army
knife of encfs.
Couldn't imagine of much open points left open on the wishlist.
