Plugin doesn't show up in side panel

Asked by Nazarii Ritter

Hello,

I've installed gedit-classbrowser3g plugin in Gedit 41.0 and activated the plugin in properties. But it doesn't show up in side panel. Is it possible to solve that issue for the new Gedit version, please?

Thank you!

If you look at https://launchpad.net/gedit-classbrowser3g you will see

--Quotes--
Latest version is 1.1.1 released on 2016-06-06

The latest release of gedit-classbrowser3g is for gedit 3.8 and 3.10.
For gedit 3.0 to 3.6 use gedit-classbrowser3g 1.0.2 .

For Ubuntu 16.04 and above the plugins in the PPA don't work with gedit from the offizial Ubuntu archive. Remove all gedit packages and install gedit310 (and gedit310-plugins) from the PPA.
--End of quotes--

It seems to me that this software is obsolete and does not work in your configuration.

Manfred, I noticed that information. Just thought maybe it can be easily updated for new Gedit versions.

OK. I've somehow managed to show it in the side panel but it still doesn't update when a code gets changed. Continue working on it…

I didn't manage to make it update the tree on typing, but the tree updates on saving and I managed to get rid of errors.
