Is this project still active?

I have been using Gearman for a few years now, and generally it's pretty good, but as of late it's having problems with locking up the CPU. It would be great if there was an updated version to try, but last release was over 1 year ago and I don't see anything in the milestones that tell me this is still an active project.

If this project is still active, when will 1.2 be available?

I've also looked for beta versions, but maybe I'm not smart enough to find them... are they available?

At this point I'm willing to try a beta version in hopes of not getting the CPU lockups making the entire thing unusable.
